Hello everyone,
Another blessed month that the Lord made. I was reading an article online and scrolled down to the comments. The article was concerning a certain Christian entertainer and choices made that does not resemble Christ. I have to admit, I, like many of you are dishearten about scandal in the body of Christ whether it’s someone well known or not.
However today, I want to concentrate on a certain comment. The commenter posed a single simple question – “How can I tell the difference between the saved and the sinner?” WOW, just WOW, that question brought tears to my eyes because unfortunately so many professed children of God look just like the world, as a matter of fact becoming identical. We must come out.
What does the Word of God say? Revelation 18:4-5 says “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.” We, as the children of God must COME OUT of the world.
The children of God are to look like Christ.
John 13:15-17 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
I Corinthians 11:1 says “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”
I John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
When we COME OUT of the world, looking like the world, and acting like the world; THEN, we can begin to do the work of our Father; KINGDOM work that brings forth change. If they cannot tell the difference between you and them, then all we are speaking are vain words and doing vain works. Words without power and without affect; works without power and works without affect because we are influencing no one.
COME OUT from amongst the world. Matthew 5:13-16 “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
