Update 2/21/19 3:00 EST: Jussie Smollett’s bond was set at $100,000. A 10% bond on the $100,000, then processing and release. Next schedule hearing is March 14th.

Just In: 2/21/19 10:00 am EST: Chicago Police Department press conference.
Jussie Smollett turns himself in to the Chicago Police Department for felony disorderly conduct. Smollett filed a police report alleging a hate crime assault. Based on evidence, police charged Smollett with felony disorderly conduct for falsifying a police report. The FBI is still investigating the alleged threatening letter Smollett received. The FBI hasn’t commented on the progress of the case. No word if monetary damages to recoup costs of the investigations by the CPD and/or FBI.

According to Chicago Police, a female attorney was present when Smollett turned himself in. His lawyers Todd Pugh and Victor Henderson were not present at the time. Police will present Smollett a summary of the case and ask him what’s he has to say.
