By A~Z Hubbard, SAVED News Editor-In-Chief — Hi everyone, This month I am going to piggyback off of Callie’s, Minister Cox’s, and Bishop Slater’s editorials somewhat and ask you the question, “Are you ready to suffer for Christ’s namesake?” Are you willing to be “transformed” and not “conformed?” And, “Are you ready to do “Kingdom work?” Take a moment and selah (think on) these questions. Truly be honest with yourself because the time is now that persecution of God’s children is running rampant in the earth. Now is the time to choose a side, “God’s word” or “the world.”
As humans, we sometimes get comfortable in our own lifestyle, focusing on ourselves and the things around us. But persecution has been loosed in this earth at a great rate and God’s children need to wake up and be prepared for it.
Will you stand up for God’s Word and risk the “comforts of life on this earth;” or will you bow to the world for the “comforts of life on this earth.” Will you be “God correct” or “politically correct?”
In 2 Timothy 3:1-5 says “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
In 2 Timothy 4:3-4 states, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
This world now is calling good – evil; and evil – good. We must stand, believe, and obey God’s Word. When the Supreme Court passed a law redefining marriage as between two people, rather than how God defined marriage as between one man and one woman; we must side with God.
Yes, we are to obey the laws of the land, until they come against the knowledge of Christ. Irrespective of what laws man passes, we are to serve God.
Do not allow any governing body; and that includes some churches also because some side with man; to turn you against God’s Word. They have no heaven or hell to put you in; but God does. Even as affliction and persecution comes, choose God. “Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season.” Hebrews 11:5
There are going to be more and more situations where this world will call good – evil; and evil – good; so prepare yourselves and decide who you are going to serve? Do you want to hear “well done my good and faithful servant?” or will it be “depart from me, I knew you not?”
Time for the everyone to wake up and choose God.
