“For God shows no partiality.” Romans 2:11
Every person each of us comes in contact with has a history full of diverse circumstances. In one family household alone there are several different backgrounds. Dad may have been raised in poverty while Mom was raised in wealth. One child may belong to both parents while another was born into the family through adoption. One parent may have a shameful past while the other was considered a goody two shoes. Education levels may not be the same, personalities may be opposite and future goals might look completely different. Even so, all household members have one thing in common, regardless of the number of other differences they have: Jesus Christ died on a cross so that salvation could be offered to all of them.
Because many people have never had the opportunity to read our life-changing Bible for themselves, they handle life the best they can with human understanding. Sadly, many are misled and end up with bondage they never wished to be chained by. Many haven’t had the power of the Spirit of God to help them shape their lives and personalities, living with anger issues, hatred, and other undesirable traits that they don’t like within themselves either.
Isn’t it beautiful that God knows every detail about each individual and loves them more than they could ever imagine? How many of us know someone who feels that they’ve been too evil for God to love them, or they’ve gone too far for God to forgive them? It is a lying whisper from Satan into the ears of the hurting, and they are unaware.
Romans 10:12-13 says, “For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
All.
Everyone.
Not those with a perfect background. Not those with a certain last name. Not those who grew up going to church. Not those with money in the bank. All who call on Him. Everyone who calls on Him.
Our Savior isn’t looking for a perfected human being. Skin color and gender do not matter; He created us all. God has loved us continually without wavering. When we were undone and even in our messy situations, His love has always been there for us. There is no partiality with our heavenly Father who loves us all.
