Fall is just around the corner, and Great American Family is ready with seven new original movies for its “Great American Autumn” event, including films featuring Danica McKellar, Jessica Lowndes and Trevor Donovan.
The Hallmark rival will debut Great American Autumn Saturday, September 2, and follow it with six more movies each successive Saturday, leading into its annual Great American Christmas event.
Great American Family launched in 2021 under former Hallmark executive Bill Abbott, now the CEO of the parent company Great American Media.
“Celebrating the season is at the heart of Great American Autumn,” a news release said.
Following is the full lineup for Great American Autumn:
- Learning to Love: “Harry and his two daughters lose faith after his wife and daughters’ mom passes. The family hires a nanny and are pleasantly surprised by Steph who brings never-ending warmth, positivity, and faith into the home.” It stars Ina Barrón and Philip Boyd. September 2.
- Love Can Surprise You: “Carina writes a popular love and romance relationship column and is known as an expert in her field. When her boyfriend breaks up on the night Carina thought he might propose, she begins to question if she really knows anything about love. Enter new writing partner Liam Snyder who ends up helping Carina to rewrite her own love story.” The film stars Camilla Belle and David Lafontaine. September 9.
- Craft Me A Romance: “Nicole Borden, the owner of a quaint arts and crafts store ‘The Crafty Companion’ is faced with an ultimatum when the owner of ‘Mitchell’s Art and Craft Supplies’ tells her she must either sell her store or be forced out of business.” It features Jodie Sweetin and Brent Bailey. September 16.
- Haven’t Met Yet: “Lucy Marks is a professional matchmaker. When Lucy meets a handsome businessman, she feels the spark of love for the first time, only to have her hopes dashed when she learns the man is her next client.” It stars Merritt Patterson and Joshua Sasse. September 23.
- A Harvest Homecoming: “Teacher Drew Granger accepts a temporary substitute job in his old hometown of Chestnut Hollow, Texas, where he meets Aiden, the proverbial new kid at school, desperate for a caring friend. While he would rather have taken a job anywhere else, Drew reconsiders Chestnut Hollow when he meets Lainie Abbott, the new manager of his parents’ massive apple orchard and cider mill business, and more importantly, Aiden’s mom.” It stars Jessica Lowndes and Trevor Donovan. September 30.
- Swing Into Romance: “When former dancer Christine Sims temporarily returns to her hometown in time for the town’s Fall Festival, she discovers her family’s General Store is in trouble. In her efforts to save the business, Christine will need to dust off those dancing shoes one more time, face her ex-fiancė, and maybe find love in the process.” It stars Danica McKellar, David Hayden-Jones and Gleb Savchenko. October 7.
- Mystery By the Book: “A bookstore owner is in a difficult relationship with a book cover model until an antique key found in a false book unlocks their romance.” It stars Alicia Dea Josipovic and Corey Sevier. October 14.
