SHELTER INFORMATION:

The following shelters will open Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 8 AM unless conditions warrant the shelters opening sooner.

Spring Creek Middle School at 3579 South NC-111, Seven Springs, NC 28578
Carver Heights Elementary at 411 Bunche Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27530

Additional shelters for overflow will be announced later if needed.

No breakfast on Thursday but meals will be provided beginning Thursday at lunch. Shelter residents should bring clothing, bedding, personal hygiene items, snacks, games, medication, insurance information, important documents, and specific supplies for: infants, children, and the elderly. No pets allowed except designated service animals. Pets can be sheltered at Wayne County Animal Services, 1600 Clingman Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.

EMERGENCY SERVICES OFFERS ADDITIONAL SHELTER:

The Wayne County emergency services office will open the following places of refuge in Wayne County for individuals during hurricane Dorian.

Spring Creek Middle School, this school is located at: 3579 South NC-111, seven springs, NC 28578
Carver Heights Elementary, this school is located in 411 Bunche Drive, Goldsboro, NC 27530

Later we will announce the location of additional shelters in case it is necessary to open more locations due to the quota.

Shelters will open on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 8 am, if the conditions justify it will open before planned.

No breakfast on Thursday, but food will be offered from the hour of lunch of the day Thursday. Residents of the shelter must bring clothes, sheets and blankets, personal hygiene items, refreshments, games, medicines, insurance information, important documents and specific supplies for babies, children and elderly. No pets allowed except designated service animals. The Pet shelter is located in Wayne County Animal Services (Wayne County Animal Services), 1600 Clingman Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
