Goldsboro- Beginning January 2022, the Goldsboro-Wayne NAACP Branch will hold its executive board meetings on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. The general membership meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. All meetings are held via zoom until further notice. “ The Goldsboro-Wayne NAACP branch objective for the next six months is the issue of redistricting in Wayne County,” stated Sylvia Barnes, local branch president. “The branch needs the citizens of Wayne County to join if you are not already a member, attend the general meetings, and provide your input on this subject.” The cost of membership is $30. Goldsboro-Wayne NAACP is also requesting that the public attends the County Commissioners’ meetings on the 1st Tuesday of every month. The first evening meeting is quarterly and will begin on January 4, 2022, 5:00 p.m. Additionally, Goldsboro City Council meets the first and third Monday at 7p.m. The Board of Education meets the first Monday at 5p.m.
