Malaysian cuisines are diversified as ethnicity. Traditional Malaysian cuisines (Malay) are nasi goreng (fried rice) and nasi lemak (fatty rice) made with rice, dry fish, peanuts, chicken, eggs, and vegetables. Also, beef, lamb, coconut, many types of dry and fresh fish are very popular with sambal. A delicious sauce made with chilies.
Popular Chinese foods consist of sweet-and-sour Cantonese dishes and a milder favorite, Hainanese chicken rice. Besides, other Chinese popular foods are noodles, soup, different types of meat and fish with spices.
Malaysian Indian foods are like tandoori chicken, Roti Chapati, Biryani, etc. Over time all the cuisines from different ethnicity are getting closer than their original recipe.
The common things are every Malaysian are just desperate to have dry fish and seafood, satay (sort of minced chicken with sweet sauce) milo drink and noodles (they call it as Maggi) every day. They also put sugar in many foods along with chilies.
